Lt. SLAGGG Hello Gentlemen and welcome to 2nd Platoon, 101st =[SE]= I've had the pleasure of fighting beside a few of you already and look forward to taking to the battlefield with you all soon. First order of business: Platoon practice. Effective immediately we will have a set schedule of platoon practices, every Sun and Wed at 4pm PST. It's not necessary for you to attend every practice, even I won't be able to, and I don't feel I need to tell you the benefits of attending as many practices as possible, that should be obvious. Second: Our ranks are growing by the day. This increases the need for efficient communication between everyone. This is where the chain of command comes in. Use it. If you feel that your idea/complaint isn't being given it's due attention by your immediate superior, please bring the matter to either mine or Ssg Alpiner13's attention. But please use discretion in this. Third: Please report to me via email listing your strengths/weaknesses and the weapon that you feel is best for you. After I compile this list and we run through a few practices, I will be assigning weapons and general tasks to everybody. I feel that with a clear goal in the heat of combat, a well balanced platoon has a much higher chance of survival and victory than an enemy that has greater numbers yet is disorganized. For those are our two most important goals, even outweighing mission tasks. Survival and Victory. They shall be ours. =[SE]=LtSlaggg Lt. Alphabet Men, I'm honored to lead such a fine group of soldiers. Everyone in the entire Screaming Eagles clan should be excited to be a part of such a unique and diverse clan. I was one of the 3rd people to join along with Lt. Slaggg and never knew that we would grow so quickly. What I'd like the most from everyone is participation. First of all, please participate in the forums, and try to make practice sessions. I would like to schedule our practice sessions for 1ST platoon every Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm EST (5pm PST) onwards. For those of you who don't know, we usually meet in the chat room and post and IP address in there for everyone to play on. Depending on the turnout, if it's less than 10 people, then we could use my IP instead. I have a cable modem and don't think I could handle more than 10 people!. Second, get to know each other in the forums -- it makes for a better game and a better clan. We ultimately would like to fight against other clans and this would help immensely. Third, to echo Lt. Slaggg's request, please e-mail me with your weapon/preferences. I would like to set up our squads with an even # of snipers, riflemen, machine gunners.. etc. I think I'm not in the minority by saying, NO BAZOOKAS. Fourth, I'd also like to use this time to ask any member of the 101st who is technically inclined to speak up now. Do not be afraid to offer your assistance! Although we do not have a dedicated server, it would be preferable because then we could just practice on that one server. This costs money. As of late, we have been using public servers which means just about anyone could get into our game. A password protected Dedicated server is obviously better. Remember one last thing. Playing in a clan means playing as a team. One goal of our practice sessions will be to work on recon/advancement tactics and moving as a unit. We will not just play free for all matches in our practices. If you are a Rambo type then you are in the wrong place. We set this clan up with team-play in mind. Our goal is victory, and our only way to achieve it is to play together. See you on the battlefield! =[SE]=Lt. Alphabet 1st Platoon - 101st Screaming Eagles |
